About
"Alright, I'm headed back to Crieve Hall Country Club"
What started as a joke at dinner with friends, has now found broader meaning, purpose, and of course, a sick merch line. As you leave Crieve Hall, driving on Hogan Rd, there's a mural under the train tracks that reads "Love where you live." For most of its existence, Crieve Hall didn't mean much to anyone other than the name of a suburb east of 65. A geographical location within Nashville that has ranch-style homes and a state park with horses. Now, however, you say "Crieve Hall" and the name garners a reaction. As it should. What used to be a sleepy section of Nashville is now a vibrant, name-recognized community. Sure we have bagels, but we also have families, walking paths, neighborhood gatherings and a farmers market! People love living here. People are proud of living here. The funny thing is that nothing has really changed. The homes are all still closet-space challenged. The horses left for greener pastures (hopefully) but things are structurally unchanged. The difference, in my opinion, is the appreciation of what we have.
And this is happening all over Nashville. As a matter of fact, it's happening all over the country! People have more appreciation and respect for their communities. Not because of new and shiny homes that sit on a golf course, but because of fresh perspective.
Hence, Monday Golf Co. was born. An ode to appreciating the places we're proud to call home, even if (or especially because) we dont have a golf club. Buy a hat, rep your neighborhood, meet a neighbor. Initiation to this club is free, and everyone is welcome! So long as you "Love where you live!"
